Black & White Photography:

Black & white photography also gives a old rustic look that you can feel. There are filters that can be used for sepia tones, or you can also scan a black & white negative while having the scanner set to color. This will confuse the scanner causing a sepia effect.

If you prefer sepia, I think that its best to use film rather than going in digitally and coloring in everything for the same result. This will save you a lot of time with less post editing. You can also convert images to their negative image. With this effect, some photographs will be even more unique. Negative images appear more silver than the grey of black & white prints.
