As a Northeast Ohio wedding photographer, I understand the importance of choosing a photographer. I think that you must not have a personality conflict with the photographer that you choose. You must also know or at least have an idea of the type of wedding photography that will be the resulting photographs. I enjoy showing photos of an entire wedding, not just my best shots that will "sell." By doing it this way, you know what to expect.
I have noticed that I get along best with people and their families that want all of the photos, a collection, something more than a "album." Everything else can be printed when desired. I would also consider myself very flexible and understanding of different situations which makes me easy to work with.
